The Central Department of Economics (Tribhuvan University-TU) has been offering an M.Phil. in Economics since the academic year 2007. This program is designed for students who want to deepen their knowledge of economics and prepare for advanced research, including a Ph.D. It’s a semester-based course spread over three semesters. In the first two semesters, students take three core subjects and one optional subject—each course is worth 3 credit hours, adding up to 200 marks per semester. The final semester focuses entirely on thesis writing, which carries 6 credit hours and is worth 100 marks. Altogether, the M.Phil. program includes 30 credit hours and a total of 500 marks (Referenced from https://cdec.tu.edu.np)
As part of the admission assessment students are required to sit for written exam 100 marks (3 hours).

2. What are the differences between Monopoly and Monopsony market?
3. In which market do the producer charges more price, for market having lower price elasticity or higher?

5. Currently the Foreign Exchange reserve in Nepal is in comfortable position, how can this reserve be utilized?

5. What is the status of the Central Bank of Nepal and the Tribhuvan University in research activities? Is it within the par, if not how can this be raised?
